Barduct, a Moeller Group Company, has won two of the South East England Development Agency’s (SEEDA) prestigious Sustainable Business Awards. The Aylesbury based manufacturer of busbar trunking systems was awarded the Corporate Social Responsibility and Best Small to Medium Sized Company awards.
Managing director, Steve Richards, said, ‘These awards are in recognition of our commitment to the local community, empowering the workforce and protecting the environment.’
For the past two years SEEDA has held Sustainable Business Awards with the aim of encouraging and promoting a sustainable approach to business in the south east by celebrating excellence and major achievements and disseminating news of best practice.
Barduct’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award was granted in recognition of the company’s ongoing training and development of staff at all levels in the organisation and its sensitive approach to the different requirements of employees such as its multi-cultural workforce. The company’s support for local charities was also a factor.
Adding to Barduct’s success, the Best Small to Medium Sized Company Award was awarded in recognition of its culture that involves everyone achieving a safe, healthy and happy working environment.
